Darlene L MaestasDarlene is a recognized artist accomplished in a wide range of medium including watercolor and oil paintings, fused glass and sculpture.
She has developed a style uniquely her own, combining realism with impressionism. “I have been blessed with a God- given talent ~ art is my life long passion”. Because she is multi-talented in several mediums, her art is unique as it transcends from one medium to the next.
Her paintings convey the passion she puts into her subjects. Her landscapes capture the warmth and beauty of the country; her children, the emotion and tenderness of the moment. Most impressive is her delicate use of detail that draws the viewer into each of her paintings whether it is rendering a still life or an animal in her realistic wildlife paintings.
Darlene’s fused glass work is equally stunning. She designs both functional and decorative pieces, each one of a kind. As a sculpture artist, she gained national recognition for a period of ten years prior to her current focus on painting and fused glass.
Darlene’s work has been shown in Wild Wings Gallery (Denver & St. Paul, MN); Natures Gallery (Bloomingdale, IL); Vail Fine Arts (Vail, CO); The Smith Gallery (Golden, CO); Driscoll’s Gallery (Denver, CO); Taylor Gallery (New Orleans, LA); and Sculpture in the Park (Loveland, CO).
A native of Colorado, Darlene’s home and studio are in Arvada, CO
