Jan's Biography

Jan has been a nationally recognized painter for over 40 years. She has a BFA from the University of Colorado, phi beta kappa.

“I like traveling throughout the country sketching and photographing dramatic landscapes. Then working in the studio I emphasize the mood of the landscape; perhaps it’s drama or a spiritual serenity of an early morning. My most recent paintings are from Colorado, South Carolina, and the Grand Canyon.”

Soft Pastels is a permanent medium. All materials used are archival.

Exhibitions:

Many One-Woman shows with galleries in Denver, Tubac AZ, Santa Fe, and Taos, NM. Most recently represented by Gallery A in Taos.
Pastel Society of America, a signature member since 1993; exhibiting annually at the Member’s show at the National Arts Club in New York.
Five large paintings are on permanent display behind the reception desk at the Adam’s Mark Hotel, Denver, Colorado.
